David Okereke and Cremonese have caused a major upset by shocking out Victor OSimhen and Napoli to reach the quarterfinal of the Copa Italia.
Cremonese, who are yet to win a game in Serie A this season, upset league leaders Napoli 5-4 on penalties after final scores stood at 2-2.
Okereke provided the assist for his team’s opening goal at Napoli in the 18th minute.
Osimhen was only introduced to the fray in extra-time.
He converted his penalty, but it was not enough to get his club through to the next round of the cup competition.
Fellow Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers was not listed by Cremonese for this game.
