At the height of the chase of Victor Osimhen by Al Hilal, the Super Eagles striker had to call up his former teammate Kalidou Koulibaly to ask him about football in Saudi Arabia as well as the top Riyadh club.
“I spoke to Osimhen,” Senegal star Koulibaly revealed.
“He asked me about football in Saudi Arabia and our club.
“I spoke highly of it, but then he told me that Galatasaray will be better fit for his family and his project.”
Al Hilal were willing to match Napoli 75 million euros release clause for Osimhen and also pay him a record salary of as much as 40 million euros a year.
However, Osimhen eventually chose to stay put at Galatasaray after he had enjoyed an eventful loan spell at the Turkish champions.
