Victor Osimhen has continued to be frozen out by Napoli from their pre-season preparations as his transfer saga has yet to be resolved.
The striker was not listed for today’s pre-season friendly against Spanish La Liga club Girona even though he has been training fully with his club.
He also was not named in a previous friendly.
New Napoli coach Antonio Conte is hoping a solution is found for Osimhen this summer so as to give room for his main target Romelu Lukaku.
Napoli negotiations with PSG over Osimhen have cooled, while the Italian club have also been in talks with Chelsea on the same player.
A proposed loan transfer to the Premier League club by Osimhen has been shot down by both his camp as well as Napoli.
Osimhen has a contract with Napoli until June 2026, but both he and the club have a gentleman’s agreement he could leave this summer with the right offer.
