With his brace against Gabon Thursday night, it is now just a matter of time before Victor Osimhen catches up on Rashidi Yekini’s all-time goals record for the Super Eagles.
Osimhen has now scored 31 goals, just six goals from matching the 37-goal tally achieved by the legendary Yekini.
He is the second all-time leading scorer for Nigeria ahead of top stars like Segun ‘Mathematical’ Odegbami and Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
Osimhen is already the most prolific Nigerian in Europe’s top club competitions with 23 goals.
