Super Falcons captain Asisat Oshoala will miss today’s opening game of the Summer Series in Houston, Texas, against Jamaica.
However, officials said the Barcelona Ladies star will still hit the USA for the invitational tournament in time for the team’s second game against Portugal.
Belarus-based defender Onome Ebi is also still being expected.
The Falcons will also do battle with hosts and world champions USA in this tournament.
The tournament is aimed at preparing the nine-time African champions for their crucial African Women’s Championship eliminator against perennial rivals Ghana in October.
Today’s match will kick off at 4.30pm in Nigeria.
