Asisat Oshoala has celebrated winning her second UEFA Women’s Champions League with Barcelona Femeni.
Barcelona Ladies achieved the treble – Spanish League, Spanish Super Cup and the women’s Champions League – when Saturday they fought from two goals down to beat Wolfsburg 3-2.
An elated Oshoala simply tweeted “Alhamdulilah#2”, a Muslim prayer grateful to almighty God for the latest success.
‘Agba Baller’ Oshoala was widely praised for her achievements over the years.
“Congratulations @asisatoshoala, your second #UWCL,” tweeted BBC journalist Mimi Fawaz.
“What an accomplishment and an inspiration for your girls across Africa, who see you and know anything is possible.”
The five-time CAF African Footballer of the Year has thus far won three Spanish leagues, the Super Cup thrice, the Copa del Reina thrice and now a second European champions League with Barcelona.
