Orji Okwonkwo’s rising profile in Major League Soccer (MLS) has received a massive boost after one of his goals against Portland Timbers was voted Goal of Week 17.
Okwonkwo scored twice for Montreal Impact to beat Portland 2-1.
His second goal was an absolute beauty as with his back to goal, he turned sharply before he shot into the roof of the goal.
The forward has scored four goals for Montreal Impact this season on loan from Serie A club Bologna.
He has also played on loan at another Italian club Brescia.
Okwonkwo has been capped by Nigeria at U17, U20 and U23 levels.
