Boavista defender Bruno Onyemaechi will not play a minute at the 2023 AFCON as he is one of two Super Eagles players not dressed for tonight’s AFCON Final against Cote d’Ivoire.
Onyemaechi made his debut under coach Jose Peseiro and he posted some decent performances in the handful of appearances he has made for the Super Eagles.
He was a direct rival of FC Porto left back Zaidu Sanusi and was picked on the final AFCON squad ahead of Jamilu Collins.
Enyimba goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo is the other player not dressed for tonight’s Final as 23 players are suited for action.
