Henry Onyekuru has admitted he has had to say a “difficult” farewell to fans of Galatasaray after his loan spell at the Turkish champions ended.
“I can’t thank @galatasaray enough for the love during my second spell at the club,” he said on Instagram.
“What makes this difficult is that I couldn’t experience my final days with the supporters who have shown me so much love and made me feel at home since the first time I came here.
“You are forever in my heart and I will forever be a ‘gala’. Until we meet again…Cimbon!”
Onyekuru second spell at “Gala’ was not as successful as his first as he only managed a goal in 10 appearances.
Galatasaray are also far off the pace in the championship race after they were knocked out in the Turkish Cup they won last season.
Onyekuru has rejoined parent club AS Monaco ahead of the new season in France.
