Galatasaray have issued a press statement on the death of Onyekuru’s mother, Jessy Onyekuru.
They expressed sadness over this death, while condoling the 23-year-old forward.
The Super Eagles winger is on loan from French Ligue 1 side Monaco.
It is his third spell at the Turkish giants.
He has so far scored five goals in 12 appearances for ‘Gala’.
The Istanbul club have slipped to third in the Super Lig standings.
