Akintola made it 2-0 in the 40th minute, before Onyekuru scored for Adana Demirspor to lead 3-1 in the 63rd minute.
It was a brilliant solo goal by Onyekuru, who has now netted three goals in the league.
Adana Demirspor now have 21 points from 10 matches, three points clear of closest rivals Besiktas and Konyaspor.
