Champions Club Brugge have left out Raphael Onyedika from tonight’s Belgian Super Cup against cup winners Union St.Gilloise.
Official report is that the Super Eagles midfielder is ill, but it is also known that he is in advanced negotiations to join German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
The latest report is that both Club Brugge and Frankfurt are close to agreeing a transfer fee of about 10 million euros for the defensive midfielder.
Club Brugge are record winners of the Super Cup having won it 18 times, while Union have won it once, in 2024.
