Paul Onuachu’s Genk No 18 shirt has been bought for 1,600 Euros (about 880,000 Naira) at a special auction organised by the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
The shirt of the league’s leading scorer was the fourth most expensive at the auction.
This was a Christmas campaign to support the league’s social partner and it got them a record 145,000 Euros.
The most expensive shirt was that of Club Brugge exciting forward Charles De Ketelaere as it was bought for 4,100 Euros.
Four other players from Belgian champions Club Brugge made the top 10 expensive shirts.
