Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has backed Paul Onuachu to be back scoring goals again with his new club Trabzonspor.
Onuachu has joined Trabzonspor on loan from Southampton after things did not go to plan in England earlier this year.
Rohr said it was a good decision for the giant striker to move so as to enjoy regular playing time.
All Onuachu needs is some time and to be back playing again,” said the coach, who gave the striker his Super Eagles debut.
“As long as he gets regular playing time, he will remind everyone how sharp a goal scorer he is.”
Churchill Oliseh, who groomed him Nigeria at his club FC Ebedei before he transferred him to Danish club FC Midtjylland, also agreed.
“He’s a great player. He will regain his old form by standing on his feet again in Turkey,” he predicted.
“Paul is a great striker. He made the right choice by going to Trabzonspor,” added former teammate Izunna Uzochukwu.
“As long as his teammates see his runs and deliver good balls to him, I’m sure he will easily turn these into goals,” he said.
