Cyriel Dessers has said he believes the departure of Paul Onuachu from Genk will be good for him after he spent most of last season warming the bench for his fellow Super Eagles star.
Onuachu was top scorer in the Belgian league this past season with 35 goals in all competitions.
He is now widely expected to make a big move to a major league team on the back of those goals.
It was also a blistering form that meant Dessers did not see much action for Genk in his first season back in Belgium.
“Hopefully, it will be good for me if he was sold,” Dessers told Voetbal International.
The former Heracles striker, who also made his Super Eagles debut last year, still managed seven goals last season.
