Paul Onuachu has been named Player of the Month for September in Belgium.
The tall striker scored five goals in five matches in the month under review, according to award organisers Sporza.
The rankings used statistics agency Opta to determine the award winner.
Onuachu thus achieved a total score of 87.25, to beat Hans Vanaken (Club Brugge, 82.79), Simen Jukleröd (Antwerp, 79.84), Kouakou Koffi (KV Kortrijk, 79.20) and Raphael Holzhauser (Beerschot, 79.11).
Onuachu is joint leading scorer in the Belgian league with six goals in as many matches thus far.
He has been overlooked by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for this month’s friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia.
