SCORENigeria has been reliably informed that Paul Onuachu, late replacement for injured Sadiq Umar, will fly into Cote d’Ivoire for the AFCON Monday morning.
A top source told SCORENigeria: “He will join the Super Eagles after his club’s next game on Sunday.”
Antalyaspor will welcome Onuachu’s Trabzonspor Sunday in continuation of the Turkish Super Lig.
He will then be expected to depart Turkey later Sunday to arrive in Abidjan Monday morning.
He will therefore arrive after the Super Eagles opening game against Equatorial Guinea Sunday.
The giant striker, who is on loan from Southampton, has so far scored eight goals in 14 appearances.
He has also made six assists.
