Paul Onuachu is expected in Turkey in the new week to complete his transfer to Trabzonspor after the Turkish club finally reached an agreement with Southampton.
Onuachu first featured for Trabzonspor in the 2023-2024 season during time he scored 17 goals in 25 official games.
The 30-year-old striker has therefore been a long-standing target for Trabzonspor, but his switch was delayed by the asking price of Southampton for the striker.
Trabzonspor sports director Fatih Tekke said Onuachu fits the game plan of his club.
“Onuachu is a player I like and he is a centre-forward that fits our style,” he remarked.
“His performance here with us previously was obvious.”
