Both Paul Onuachu and the President of Genk have commented on what many believe will be a major transfer by the striker after he netted 34 goals this season.
Onuachu himself insisted that despite his impressive haul of goals he remains a player of Genk.
“I am a Genkie. Now I am still a Genkie. We’ll see,” said the striker, who also acknowledged his love for Premier League club Arsenal.
However, Genk chairman Croonen was more forthcoming about a summer transfer for the striker.
“Paul has played an exceptional season. So we really want to keep him. We have agreed that he can leave if the right conditions are met,” the Genk President said.
“So whether I can guarantee that he will stay? No, I cannot.”
Several top European clubs from La Liga to the Bundesliga have already been linked to the prolific striker.
