Paul Onuachu has finally rejoined his club Genk after he was stranded in Nigeria no thanks to the travel hassles caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Genk announced the return of the towering striker, who already hit the ground running when he underwent medical at the sports center.
Onuachu returned to Belgium via Paris, France.
His Ivorian teammate, Eboue Kouassi, has also made his way back after he was held back in Abidjan.
The original plan was for Genk to join forces with fellow Belgian teams Gent and Club Brugge and fly back their players in Cote d’Ivoire and Nigeria on a chartered flight.
However, that plan encountered difficulties as both the airports in Abidjan and Lagos were on lockdown.
