Kenneth Omeruo will certainly be one of the Super Eagles stars to take a penalty kick should the AFCON quarterfinal against Angola drag to a penalty shootout Friday.
The Kasimpasa defender was very successful from the penalty spot as the Super Eagles trained for penalties ahead of Friday’s showdown.
The other cheering news is that Alhassan Yusuf has declared himself fully fit after a thigh injury sidelined him since the opening group game against Equatorial Guinea.
He was seen at the training winning balls and driving into attack full throttle, like he did against Equatorial Guinea before injury forced him out.
However, both Victor Osimhen and William Ekong stayed out of Monday night’s training in Abidjan.
Ekong has been battling a right thigh injury and he had heavy plaster strappings around the affected area.
Osimhen has been managing his body because of his all-action style, which demands a lot on him.
