Kenneth Omeruo has told SCORENigeria he wishes to extend his stay in La Liga so as to keep improving after “an amazing time” in the Spanish top flight.
Last season, the 25-year-old defender made 28 league appearances for CD Leganes on loan from Chelsea.
“I wish to stay back in La Liga to keep improving,” Omeruo said.
“Playing last season in La Liga helped my confidence, my game all round, because I played in a team where the coach believed in me, he took time to explain a lot of things to me.”
Leganes have made an improved bid to Chelsea to have the Super Eagles defender back at the Madrid club for next season.
Chelsea are demanding a transfer fee of seven million Euros for Omeruo.
