Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has signed a year’s deal with Romanian cup winners CFR Cluj, who will feature in the UEFA Europa League in the new season.
The 31-year-old central defender signed as a free agent after his contract with Turkish club Kasimpasa was terminated by mutual consent earlier this year.
Long-standing Super Eagles star Omeruo has recovered from a long-term knee injury that threatened to end his career.
Club Cluj President Cristi Balaj said Omeruo is top quality and he expects the experienced defender to be back to his best soon.
His previous clubs include Chelsea, Middlesbrough, CD Leganes, Alayanspor as well as Dutch club ADO den Haag.
