Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka has said his transfer to top Serbian club Red Star Belgrade is a step up in his career.
Free agent Olayinka has signed a three-year contract with an option for an additional year at the expiration of his contract with Czech club Slavia Praha.
“I have watched several Zvezda (Red Star) matches, I saw that we have a lot of quality players and a great team. Coming to Zvezda is a big step for my career. I am aware that it is a step forward, and change, although it is not easy, goes with the job of a football player,” Olayinka said.
“This is a new challenge that I have set for myself.”
The 27-year-old winger has chosen to wear his lucky jersey No 14, which he first wore soon after a difficult injury layoff.
