David Okereke has said he will be at his best when the new season in Belgium kicks off this weekend after he has “fully settled down” at champions Club Brugge.
Okereke cost Club Brugge a record eight million Euros from Spezia in Italy.
He scored nine goals in his first season in Belgium, but a lot more is expected of him after he hit a rough patch towards the end of the campaign.
Okereke told Sport/Voetbalmagazine his first season in Belgium was difficult because he struggled to adapt to Club Brugge playing style, several games crammed into a week and also familiarize with his new teammates.
He said he has now made the adjustments and believes he will improve on what he showed last season.
That should be sweet music in the ears of Club Brugge, who have yet to get over the loss in the Belgium Cup Final to Antwerp last weekend to deny them a league and cup double.
