Former Golden Eaglets midfielder Hamzat Ojediran was thrilled to score his first goal in Major League Soccer (MLS).
Ojediran, who moved from French Ligue 1 side RC Lens to the USA recently, opened scoring after seven minutes for Colorado Rapids to beat Portland Timbers 2-1 for their first win of the new season.
“It’s great feeling scoring my first goal (in the MLS),” celebrated the all-action defensive midfielder.
“It has been positivity since I came here and that spirit has remained.
“We are progressing in our game and we will keep pushing.
“Like the coach said, We have got the three points and the focus now shifts to the next game.”
