Newly signed striker Sixtus Ogbuehi has promised to make the difference at KV Kortrijk as they aim for an instant return to the Belgian top league.
Ogbuehi, who has been capped by the Flying Eagles, has transferred from Spain to Belgium in this summer transfer window.
Ogbuehi was clear about his ambitions at Kortrijk.
“When I’m finished, people will see that I can make a difference for this club. I’m tall, yes, but with the ball at my feet, I’m more than good and fast. That should help me in this league,” Ogbuehi told Het Nieuwsblad
“In Nigeria, I always trained a lot on my technique, and it’s more than decent. I know the club here have had a difficult season with relegation, but I don’t notice much of that yet. Everyone is very motivated and ambitious.”
“But it will definitely be alright. I feel fit, and training is going well. I get a lot of attention here, and they really want to help me improve,” he added.
Ogbuehi also said he is happy with the weather in Belgium thus far.
“It’s less warm here than in Spain. I’m used to the heat in Nigeria, but I like this Belgian weather. It’s not too hot and not too cold, just right. I might change my mind about that next winter, but we’ll see,” he noted.
