FC Minaj striker Ugochukwu Oduenyi looked “sharp” on his debut against Lviv FC at the weekend.
However, his team still fell 2-1 in a Ukrainian Premier League clash.
They remain bottom of the standings with 10 points from 13 matches.
The Nigerian striker came off the bench on the hour to replace Artem Milevski.
He stepped up his team’s attack, but the visiting team were luckier with two goals, before FC Minaj pulled a goal back in the second half.
Oduenyi returned to Ukraine just hours to the game no thanks to visa hassle in Belgium.
The big centre-forward signed for FC Minaj as a free agent in the January transfer window from SV Reid of Austria and featured in the team’s pre-season tour of Turkey, where he scored three goals.
