Kelechi Nwakali was only the new addition to the Nigeria U23s, who had their first training in Asaba today ahead of Tuesday’s must-win U23 AFCON playoff against Sudan.
Nwakali, who last week completed a move to Spanish club Huesca, was part of the training where coach Imama Amapakabo took the boys through different routine tactical plays.
Fullback Etiboy Akpan was the only player who did not take part in the training owing to a stomach problem.
The team are scheduled to hold two training sessions, the first started at 7 am to 9 am, while the second training session will take place from 4 p.m.
It could be recalled that the team lost 1-0 to Sudan in the first leg and they will now be hoping turn the tables around in the second leg in Asaba.
