Kelechi Nwakali now faces serious sanctions by Portuguese club Chaves after he was seen on the phone while on the substitutes’ bench.
Chaves have been relegated from the Portuguese top league after they lost 1-0 at home to Famalicao.
Nwakali started the game, but was hauled off after 46 minutes on the pitch.
He will later be seen on the phone while on the bench.
It would be recalled that disciplinary issues also cost him his contract at Spanish club Ponferradina after he reportedly returned to the club late from the delayed 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
