Anthony Nwakaeme has tasked his team Trabzonspor to win their remaining four matches in the Turkish Super Lig to stand any chance of being crowned champions.
Trabzonspor, who also parade Nigerian stars Paul Onuachu and Chibuike Nwaiwu, dropped two more crucial points at the weekend when they could only draw 1-1 with Istanbul Basaksehir.
They are now six points behind leaders Galatasaray with 65 points from 30 matches.
However, Nwakaeme, who won the Super Lig with Trabzonspor five years ago, maintained they could still give themselves a fighting chance in the title race by winning their remaining four matches.
“We are trying to get three points from every match we play,” he said after the draw with Basaksehir.
“What we need to do now is take it one match at a time. We will leave the match (vs Basaksehir) in the past and focus on the remaining matches.
“We can do four out of four, but it won’t be easy. “
