Anthony Nwakaeme scored his team’s opening goal to inspire a Trabzonspor fightback for them to eventually beat fellow Turkish Super Lig club Kasimpasa 2-1 in a pre-season friendly today.
Nwakaeme hit target after 25 minutes to draw his team level after Kasimapasa had gone ahead as early as the seventh minute.
Trabzonspor snatched the winning goal in the 78th minute.
Last season, 32-year-old forward netted seven times and supplied seven assists in 34 matches as the Ankara-based club finished fourth and as a result will feature in the newly-introduced UEFA Conference League.
