Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali today underwent a scan to determine the severity of a knee injury he suffered in an AFCON Round of 16 clash against Cameroon at the weekend.
The result of the scan is now being awaited.
The Chippa United shot stopper later jogged around the pitch with a noticeable limp as the rest of the squad were put through their paces ahead of Friday’s quarterfinal against Angola.
The Super Eagles took a break off training Sunday after a hectic outing against the Indomitable Lions the previous day.
Friday’s game will kick off from 6pm at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
The winners of this tie will take on the winners of another quarterfinal between Cape Verde and either Morocco or South Africa, who come face-to-face Tuesday in a Round of 16 clash.
