This season’s championship is far from a two-horse race involving Remo Stars and Rivers United as Enugu Rangers, Shooting Stars and El Kanemi Warriors all won today to pile pressure on the front runners.

Defending champions Rangers won 1-0 at Niger Tornadoes courtesy of Bashir Usman, who last season featured for the Minna club.
It was a superb reaction by Rangers after they lost at home to traditional rivals Shooting Stars the previous matchday.
‘The Flying Antelopes’ now have 31 points from 19 games.
Shooting Stars maintained third place on the back of a 1-0 home win over neigbours Kwara Unired, while El Kanemi Warriors saw off visiting Kano Pillars thanks to Al-Amin Umar first-half strike.
El Kanemi are fifth with 29 points.
Remo Stars moved three points of the chasing pack after a 2-1 win at home of struggling Akwa United.
They now have 36 points from 19 matches, while closest rivals Rivers United welcome troubled Plateau United tomorrow.
