Enyimba now have eight points from four matches after they won 2-0 at Bayelsa United.
Second-half goals by Chidera Michael and Kalu Nweke got the maximum points on the road for ‘The People’s Elephant’, who occupy top spot for the first time since March 2024.
However, Remo Stars dropped to sixth in the standings after they lost 2-0 at Plateau United.
Remo Stars were reduced to ten men in the 81st minute, when Stanley Joseph was sent off.
It was Plateau United first points of the new season to move them off the bottom of the table.
Promoted Kun Khalifat won their first game in the top league after they stopped visiting El Kanemi Warriors 3-1
Rivers United are second on the table after they edged past Shooting Stars 1-0, while there were also home wins for Bendel Insurance, Abia Warriors, Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United.
