Abia Warriors thrashed Warri Wolves 4-1, FC Ifeanyiubah were 3-0 winners over Katsina United, while leaders Kwara United fell at Enugu Rangers in continuation of the NPFL today.
One-time NPFL hotshot Godwin Obaje scored a brace for Abia Warriors to fight back from a goal down to win 4-1 at home.
It was the biggest win on the day and it lifted them from the relegation zone.
They are now 15th on the table with 12 points from 11 matches.
FC Ifeanyiubah also eased their relegation fears on the back of a comfortable 3-0 victory over faltering Katsina United.
They are now 16th on the table with Plateau United sucked into the drop zone following their 1-0 loss at Akwa United.
At the top half of the standings, Rangers climbed to fourth place after they pipped leaders Kwara United in Enugu.
They have 20 points, just a point behind the leaders.
Kano Pillars stumbled 1-0 at Lobi Stars, MFM FC stopped bottom team Adamawa United and Jigawa Golden Stars pipped visiting Nasarawa United 1-0.
