NPFL Player of Week: Bashir Usman returns to beat ex-club Niger Tornadoes

The NPFL Player of Week 19 is Enugu Rangers striker Bashir Usman.

Bashir Usman scored a 33^rd minute goal that proved to be the match winner against the club he played for last season, Niger Tornadoes.

It was his first goal for ‘The Flying Antelopes’ and the second road win for the club.

Out of respect for his former club, captain-of-the-day Usman did not celebrate the match winner.

The win at Tornadoes was a great response by the defending champions after they lost 1-0 at home to traditional rivals Shooting Stars the previous match day.

Rangers are fourth in the NPFL standings with 31 points from 19 matches, two points outside the Top 3.
