The NPFL Player of Week 34 is Remo Stars attacking midfielder Alex Oyowah.
The former Rivers United star rose highest to nod home a cross from the right after half an hour for Remo Stars beat Shooting Stars in a Southwest Derby to stay on track for a first-ever NPFL championship.
It was his third goal of the season and Remo Stars maintained a seven-point gap at the top of the standings with four rounds of matches to the end of the season.
It was a goal of great importance because closest rivals Rivers United also won this past weekend to keep the pressure on the table toppers.
Remo Stars have twice finished as runners-up in the NPFL, but now look set to be champions for the very first time in their history.
They will be expected to consolidate their leadership Sunday at home against Niger Tornadoes.
