Silas Nwankwo has maintained top spot in the NPFL goals chart with 16 goals after he scored a brace today for Nasarawa United at Lobi Stars.
Nwankwo’s goals were not enough as Nasarawa United still fell 3-2 in Makurdi.
However, he is closely followed by Charles Atsimene, who also fired a brace for table toppers Akwa United to stop Warri Wolves 3-0 in Uyo.
Atsimene featured for the NPFL stars in a recent friendly against Mexico in Los Angeles, USA.
Veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali of Kano Pillars has 13 goals, while Sadeeq Yusuf (Sunshine Stars) and Mohammed Zulkifilu (Plateau United) are on 12 goals each.
