The race for who will scoop the NPFL Goals King prize could well go all the way to the final day of action as three players are locked on 14 goals apiece with only seven rounds of matches left.
Ishaq Kayode, Chijoke Akuneto (Rivers United) as well as Yusuf Abdulazeez of Gombe United have all netted 14 goals thus far to lead the goals chart.
However, all three failed to hit target this past weekend.
They are also closely followed by Victor Mbaoma, who has scored 12 goals for Enyimba, and Valentine Odoh from Abia Warriors, who is on 11 goals.
As many as four players have scored nine goals – Ugochukwu Leonard (Sunshine Stars), Andy Okpe (Remo Stars), Ossy Martins (Enugu Rangers) and Michael Tochukwu (Nasarawa United).
