Nottingham Forest will not allow Taiwo Awoniyi to leave unless they have a new striker to replace him.
SkySports said fellow Premier League club West Ham will want to sign the Super Eagles striker.
However, Forest will keep the striker who has lost his first-team place to New Zealand star Chris Woods this season as he has battled injuries recently.
Awoniyi has started only two games for Forest this season.
