Nottingham Forest are lining up a transfer for Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who has said he still dreams of playing in the Premier League even after Liverpool let him go to Bundesliga club Union Berlin.
Thanks to their recent promotion to the English top flight, Forest now have the cash to meet the 20 Million Euros valuation of Awoniyi by his German club.
Union Berlin bought the 24-year-old striker for seven Million Euros.
Last season, he scored 15 goals and provided two assists for the capital city club.
Speaking to Kicker in February, Awoniyi revealed he dreams of returning to the Premier League one day.
“Everyone knows that, including here at the club. If I lived in England, it would be easier for my wife and child. Also my sister and a brother live on the island,” he said.
