Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has said he believes club record signing Taiwo Awoniyi will go on to become a big star in the Premier League.
Awoniyi has completed a 17.5 Million pounds transfer from Bundesliga club Union Berlin to newly promoted Forest.
He has signed a five-year deal.
Steve Cooper was thrilled Forest beat other Premier League clubs to sign the Super Eagles striker and also has high hopes on the player.
“He’s a player who we really believe in and look forward to him going on to fulfill his potential and become a top Premier League striker with Nottingham Forest,” he remarked.
“There’s been a lot of interest in Taiwo from other Premier League clubs, and other clubs across Europe, so we’re delighted that he’s chosen Nottingham Forest.”
Awoniyi himself expressed his excitement moving to the Premier League.
“It’s always been my dream to play in the Premier League and having spoken to Steve Cooper about our ambitions and looking at Forest, with its great history, it’s a club that I want to be part of,” he said.
