Officials told SCORENigeria there is “no cause for concern” after Victor Osimhen did not train with the rest of the Super Eagles squad today.
Osimhen complained of a stomach problem.
Fenerbache defender Osayi-Samuel also did not train after he was only patched up for the final group game against Guinea Bissau after a training ground accident.
Napoli striker Osimhen has played all three group games at the AFCON.
He netted the equaliser against Equatorial Guinea and caused the penalty from which William Ekong scored for Nigeria to fly past AFCON hosts Cote d’Ivoire.
Today’s training was behind closed doors and it was mainly tactical.
Coach Jose Peseiro gave the team a break Tuesday.
The Eagles will again train behind closed doors tomorrow.
