SCORENigeria has learnt that NLO Chief Operating Officer (COO), Shola Ogunowo, will now head the Euromatch-NPFL in a temporary capacity.
This followed a directive from the NFF secretariat that chairmen as well as Chief Executive Officers of the various leagues step aside.
In the case of the NPFL, CEO Davidson Owumi is not an NFF staff, so also the most senior staff member of the premier league and so the emergence of Ogunowo.
Ogunowo is one of the most highly respected administrators having turned around the country’ third-tier league, the NLO.
Incidentally, the new season of the country’s elite league will kick off today.
