Coach Ladan Bosso has made two changes to his start list for tonight’s U20 World Cup Group D clash against Brazil with Augustine Njoku and Emmanuel Umeh handed their first starts in Argentina.
Njoku will play his first game at right back with captain Daniel Bameyi reverting to central defence with Abel Ogwuche to allow for Benjamin Frederick to be rested.
The Abia Warriors defender lost his place in the first team after a below-par performance at the U20 AFCON in Egypt in March.
In attack, Ibrahim Mohammed ‘Beji’, who has struggled for form at this tournament, will give way to Emmanuel Umeh.
Both Umeh and Salim Fago Lawal, strikers by trade, will interchange at the head of the attack and flanks.
Otherwise, Bosso has kept faith with the team who stopped Italy Wednesday.
That means AC Milan starlet Victor Eletu starts again after overcoming cramps that forced him out in the second half of the Italy game and attacking midfielder Samson Lawal is again preferred to Bulgaria-based Tochukwu Nnadi.
