It can now be revealed that the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Bitrus Bewarang, along with his two assistants have so far defied a sack order and so continue to report at their duty post.
Bewarang’s contract with the NFF ran out last week, while both his assistants, Rafiu Yusuf and Segi Lagunju retired from the civil service last year.
A top source informed SCORENigeria that the NFF committee led by executive committee member Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ is not aware of a verbal order from Amaju Pinnick that Bewarang and his assistants vacate office and Nasiru Jubrin to now oversee the department.
“There is a standoff as we speak,” an official told SCORENigeria
“It’s a case of the various power bases at war.
“We will have to wait and see who blinks first.”
Lagunju was already set to return to the department on a contract that will pay him 400,000 Naira a month, while Rafiu Yusuf, who enjoys close ties with general secretary Mohammed Sanusi, was widely expected to succeed Bewarang at the expiration of his contract.
What is your business if their contracts are not renewed? Busy body bastards looking for avenue to insult the leadership of NFF.
An African proverbs says ‘A person that pursues a small foul will first fall and be disgraced’ so you guys will soon be exposed with your pay masters.
