The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) did not reveal any warm-up games for the Super Eagles leading up to the 2023 AFCON when they announced the team’s itinerary in Dubai.
Earlier reports suggested that the Eagles will feature in an invitational tournament that will feature fellow AFCON finalists Burkina Faso, who have already touched down in Dubai.
According to the NFF, the team will be in Dubai for a week from January 2 with some players joining up directly from their European bases.
They will return to Lagos on January 9, before they fly out to Abidjan the following day.
They open their quest for a fourth AFCON title on January 14 against Equatorial Guinea.
Hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau are the other teams in Group A.
