NFF president Ibrahim Gusau has expressed confidence the Super Eagles will pay a second straight AFCON final in Morocco.
Against most expectations, the Super Eagles reached the final of the 2023 AFCON last year in Cote d’Ivoire.
And now Gusau said they will repeat this in Morocco.
“I still have the confidence we will play in the final of the AFCON in Morocco,” Gusau predicted during an interview with Eagle7fm monitored by SCORENigeria
“The Super Eagles have only won the AFCON three times, while some have won it seven times.
“We want to do the same as last year (2023 AFCON).
“The Super Eagles are hungry to make history.
“We should not lose hope on the team so that they can make us happy again.”
He further said that the NFF have ordered coach Eric Chelle to get the team to the AFCON final.
“He should get to the final of the AFCON,” he answered when asked on the target given the coach at Morocco 2025.
