The season has already ended even before it has started for former Golden Eaglets skipper Samson Tijani after he suffered a leg fracture in a pre-season game against Feyenoord.
Tijani’s Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg announced the major injury and further said he will be out for the remainder of the season.
In June, he made his much-awaited debut for Red Bull Salzburg two years after he signed for the team.
The defensive midfielder has been expected to push for a regular first-team place at the Austrian champions in the new season after gaining experience on loan in previous seasons.
